There's been a lot of talk here about 3rd-party grips for the D850, partly because they are so hard to find, mostly because the cost to get to 9fps with Nikon stuff is far too expensive. The thread on grips is pretty long, but it does look like there are lots of options out there, most of which can give 9fps.Today I got an interesting email from Amazon. It has links for several 3rd party batteries and chargers, in one place. Hope the links come through ok here. If nothing else, you may find some brands you had not heard of before.I personally have a Watson EL18 battery (I can't find a current link to this battery) that cost me $70. I wanted the Wasabi Power one, but mis-clicked somehow.

The MH-26a is a battery charger specifically designed to charge up to two EN-EL18, EN-EL18a, or EN-EL18b Li-ion batteries. It is a supplied accessory for the D4S D-SLR camera and comes with a power cable and two contact protectors.

My Watson works fine, gives me 9fps.I also have the Wasabi Power charger, which seems to work great. It also seems to be sold under other brand names, or at least what looks to be an identical charger. Thanks for these links and seeking a reliable and succinct summary on these questions. Many of us have spent far too many hours trying to sift out the reliable clones from the rubbish.

Availability is also fickle. There's been several posts elsewhere - notably on Nikon Rumours - in parallel to the Dpr threads.1. BandH sell Watson ENEL18I will try the Hahnel clone of the ENEL18 which costs more but their flash batteries and other gear is solid2. There is consensus the Mcoplus and DSTE give 9fps (i have ordered the DSTE with DSTE BL5) - also available in the UKControversy as to whether the Vello gives 9fps3. Third-party chargers are more challenging. Based on several independent recommendations, I have ordered a Wasabi but it will only ship month end from the USA to UK.
